Did you know……. · that an offering is received during worship at every presbytery meeting of the Presbytery of Tampa Bay? · that these offerings were approved by the presbytery two years ago upon recommendation of the Stewardship Committee? · that the Mission, Outreach and Funding Committee prayerfully considers a variety of recipients for these offerings? · that the offering that is being received at our November 30, 2006 meeting at Seven Springs Presbyterian Church will go to churches in Bethlehem (as in “O, Little Town of….”, not the Bethlehem in PA) that have been designated by the peacemaking trip participants? Have you considered……. · including this offering in your church’s annual budget so that commissioners can be sent to presbytery meetings with an offering from your entire church, or · receiving an offering from your congregation on a Sunday before the presbytery meeting so members who care to give above-and-beyond their pledges to the particular benevolences may participate in this offering, or · receiving an offering from your Session prior to the presbytery meeting so all potential commissioners may participate in this offering, or · reminding the commissioners who are attending each presbytery meeting that there will be an offering, noting the recipient that is listed on the agenda so the elder commissioners (as well as pastors and certified educators) will be prepared to give an offering as part of the time or worship?
