Devastating Earthquake in Asia It was with horror and sadness that the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance team viewed the destruction and loss of life resulting from the earthquake and tsunami that hit south and south east Asia on Sunday morning December 26, 2004. The quake is the world's most powerful in a century. Presbyterian Disaster Assistance processed an immediate response of $100,000 to support regional church partners and their relief organizations.
