Great New Resources for Your Summer and Fall Planning...
For those educators from our Presbytery who attended the Association of Presbyterian Church Educators annual event last week, there is much to celebrate! Great new resources are available and in the works from our denomination. Baobab, the Vacation Bible School kit, is now here and available for your preview. Set in the African Savannah, children will learn stories from the Old and New Testament as they grow in faith. We have other VBS options for you as well. Clean Water for All God's Children is about stewardship of water and how children can help others have clean water. Under Construction is themed around Habitat for Humanity and helps children understand how to be good neighbors. Praise Party is our multicultural VBS that may meet the needs of your program this year. Call or

Interpretation is coming out with a new series of commentaries. If you are familiar with the current series, you know each book of the Bible is carefully examined and is especially helpful for teachers and preachers. This continuation looks at particular Biblical passages or themes of the faith with the same careful exegesis and attention to helping lay people better understand God's Holy Word. Our first volume is The Ten Commandments. Future volumes will include The Sermon on the Mount, The Apostle's Creed, Sacraments, Prophecy, Eschatology and more.
Looking for a good adult curriculum? Coming this fall is Being Reformed - Faith Seeking Understanding. This will be an excellent study series to help all age adults learn more about the Bible, about being part of the Reformed tradition and being Church together. Each study will be six sessions and will have a Participant's and Leader's Guide. Upcoming topics include Worship as Evangelism, John Calvin, Islam and Christianity, Discipleship: The Way of Jesus, Theology for Presbyterians and more. Your Resource Center should have review copies available by mid-summer.
