Norm Hatter graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in May 2002 with a Master of Divinity degree. A retired Dupont executive, Norm felt a call to the ministry in 1998 and began the journey that led him to serve as pulpit supply for Concord Presbyterian Church, Wilmington, DE in late 2002 after the pulpit became vacant. He and his wife, Phyllis, also a former seminarian, moved to Daytona Beach, FL in December 2002 after residing in Kennett Square, PA for eighteen years. Norm eventually became involved in ministering to needs of the homeless as interim Co-Executive Director with Halifax Urban Ministries in Daytona Beach in mid-2003. He also served as pulpit supply for Southminster Presbyterian Church, Daytona Beach in late 2003 after their minister retired.

In March 2005, Norm was called to Church of the Reconciler in Clearwater, where he remained until September 2006. Appointed as Stated Clerk for the Presbytery of Tampa Bay in April 2006, Norm continues to discover new and exciting ways to serve the Lord.

Phyllis and Norm are golfers who also enjoy reading, travel, and meeting new people. They also are the parents of two grown children, Kimberly and Gregory, who live in Ohio and Colorado, respectively.

Meanwhile, as Parish Associate (Pastor for Congregational Care) since January 2007 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Dunedin, FL, the primary objective of his spiritual travel is to continually seek God’s will in his life and to share God’s word with others.
